Description

Banquine is a highly synchronised circus act where two bases form a platform where the flyer takes their position. The bases push off and the flyer jumps to perform various somersaults transitioning to catches, the ground, or even to another apparatus (like a teeterboard). Come learn this stylish discipline from world-class acrobat, Artem Shinkarenko, and develop your coordination, precision, and skill.

Prerequisites: Intermediate or above circus skill or 4 yrs cheer/dance/gymnastics experience.

Artem Shinkarenko has worked for Cirque du Soleil as a banquine artist since 2015. Before starting his circus career he also performed as an acrobat for 15 years and was a silver medalist in the 2012 Acro World Cup.
